We walked this during the late spring again at the end of May start of June during 2019
This is a fantastic walk between Winchester and Eastbourne, but before you start your walk in Winchester make sure that you visit the Cathedral, it may cost to go in but you are supporting the upkeep of a fantastic building.

We spent 8 days doing this walk as we are getting a bit older but mainly be prepared to walk up and down from the way each evening and morning as the villages are all at the bottom of the ridge I found that each day you would need to add at least a mile to your walk to find the accommodation for the evening.

Highlight of the walk is definitely the last day with the walk from Alfriston to Eastbourne we took the seven sisters route and although a bit up and down is well worth it especially if the weather is with you.

This is a fantastic long distance route with fantastic views all along the trail there are also numerous Neolithic lumps and bumps along the way allowing you to realise you are not the first to walk this way and that since people have lived on these islands they have lived and walked along this route.

When you reach your destination make sure that you take time to enjoy Eastbourne.
