1970’s

70s Bands mentioned on My Journey

A few of my favourite bands. From the 1970’s. The 70s was a golden age for music it was during the 60s I became interested in music one memory I have is rushing back home as the Beatles were on the TV. Also watching the Monkeys on the telly. Then along came Rock and secondary school and I was hooked.

The 70s was a time of fantastic music here a a few of my favourites that I managed to see in Edinburgh and Glasgow in the 70s.

Many bands that I loved in the 70’s I had to wait until later to see but, I think I seen a few of my favourite bands through the years.

Since the 1970’s I have been going to see Hawkwind. No doubt that in the 70’s Hawkwind were at the height of their powers but over the various incantations of Hawkind, I think that Dave Brock has managed to keep them relevent.
