First leg of the walk from Wallsend to Newburn. When taking this part of the walk make sure that you leave time to have a look in the museum at the start of the walk. Much of the walk is along the course of the River Tyne and along its banks in Newcastle.
The highlights of this walk is the bridges along the Tyne and if you time it right the opening of the Millennium bridge.
